Q. My message is not viewable!
A. There may be a number of reasons lets start at the beginning:

'Login' and go to ‘My account’ – what is shown under ‘My messages’?

ACTIVE - If you have an ACTIVE above the message photo then that message is open for the public to view. To view it, go to ‘Home’ page and in the 'Find Who's Been Surprised' box type the name of the person the message is for and click on start search.

X DAYS TO GO – This is how long you have until the message is open to the public to view. If you want to view the message, click on 'Select action' under the picture and choose the option to 'View message'.

EXPIRED - If you have an EXPIRED above the message picture then that message is now closed for public viewing. However this message can be placed again by clicking on the 'Select action' under the picture and choosing the option to 'Duplicate message'.

AWAITING APPROVAL - Once you have paid for your message our system will check your message. Once approved, the status will change to 'X days to go' or 'Active', you will then be able to view the message and perform other functions such as editing message, inviting guests.

NO MESSAGE – Was your payment processed through Paypal™?
Login to Paypal™ and look at your transaction history.
If NO PAYMENT was taken it appears that the message process was not completed – why not try again it should only take a minute!
If PAYMENT TAKEN but no messages in ‘My account’ then have you checked your email address linked to this registration (see ‘My details’ for email address information) , do you have an email from SurpriseMe? If you have this email, please read this through carefully for further information,
If you have had the money deducted but not received an email then please click here to contact us.
 
Q. How do I change my display date for a message?
A. If the message is already processed or on view to the public then follow the steps below:

Processed but not public/Active - Login and go to ‘My account’ – In the section ‘My messages’ your message should be displayed with 'X days to go' above it. If this date is incorrect please email us with the correct date for starting.

Message viewable to the Public – It is not possible to change the date when the message is active, however once the message has finished it can be placed again through the ‘Duplicate message’ option in 'My account'.
 
Q. What happens if my message is found unacceptable?
A. If your message, picture/photo or comment is unacceptable then you will be sent an email from SurpriseMe.

Please read this email carefully as it will explain why we have taken this decision.This email may tell you of any alterations you will have to make in order for the message to be acceptable.
 
Q. Why is my message or picture cancelled/suspended?
A. If your message, picture/photo or comment is unacceptable then you will be sent an email from SurpriseMe.

Q. Why has my message or picture changed?
A. If your message was Active (visible to the public) or to be Active the same day you placed it and was found unacceptable, rather than removing the whole message, your message or picture may have been changed. If this has happened, an email will have been sent to you from SurpriseMe to explain why.

Q. How long does it take to hear back from my emails sent to you?
A. SurpriseMe try to answer all emails within 24 hours, however at busy times this may take longer.
 
Q. What is an inappropriate image?
A. In a nutshell, pictures and photos which are NOT suitable for children to view.

If you are uploading picture(s) from your own computer please make sure that you are the owner of those pictures(s).

Messages should also be designed with the purpose of the site in mind, therefore they should be messages to surprise, announce, congratulate and thank others.

Any messages not in english or containing personal information such as addresses, telephone numbers, will be removed for your safety.
